Chalk Fest 2004 - RTEA at Hollywood + Highland
Saturday, August 28: artists begin painting at 10am
Sunday, August 29: artists begin painting at 10am
Come and see some of the country‚s top chalk artists in action
as they transform the ground in our central plaza with beautiful
paintings. Children will have the opportunity to make their own
chalk art creations in a special kids‚ zone. All kids who
participate will receive a free Kodak one-time-use camera!
There will be live music, face painting and more...
A nominal donation to participate in the kids‚ area will directly
benefit RTEA, a not-for-profit organization.
RTEA, or Reaching to Embrace Arts, adopts public schools and
provides essential art supplies to harness and realize the
creative potential of every student. In partnership with
students, parents, educators, artists, policy makers, business
leaders, and the community at large, RTEA seeks to bypass
social and economic barriers by generating new opportunities
to nurture creativity in the present while building skills for the
future.
