This may be your only opportunity to Speak Out against the plan to build 276 apartments on the site. Show support for the preservation of the historic elements of this site, and support the concept of an urban Belmont Art Park. If you cannot attend this meeting, you can write a letter protesting the current development plans for this site.

changed as August 6th approaches. Tell other people about this meeting. Have people write letters against the current development for the site located at 1304 W. 2nd Street (Belmont or Toluca Yard) Submit letters from residents, business owners, public officials, professors and artists.

plans in greater detail you may call the City Planning Office Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM at (213) 978-1162.

The developer is proposing several variances that people in the
community should protest against.

To register your complaint against the current project you can call
Los Angeles City Councilmember Ed Reyesâ€™ office at (213) 485-3451. You
can leave a message related to the project with any staff person, or you may ask to speak to Susan Wong or to Guadalupe Duran-Medina.

You have the power to stop this project. Without community approval
this project cannot be built. We propose that this area be turned into a
Public Art Park, and a Historic Site, due to the Historic Subway Tunnel and Toluca Train Yard.
