This is directly across the street from the main entrance to the Belmont Yard. The entrance is in the back
alley. Walk through Bob Baker's Marionette Theatre Parking Lot and into alley. Second Building on the left.
The cross streets are 1st, 2nd and Lucas.

We will be discussing all current developments regarding the
preservation of the Belmont Art Park and the current development plans to build 276 apartments on the
site.

We will be discussing the upcoming Public Hearing on August 6th at
City Hall. We will also have petitions to sign against the current plans and petitions for people to take to
their own communities. A limited number of Belmont Art Park T-shirts will be available for $10. Meeting

Following the meeting at 1:30, we will go out into the community to
distribute flyers, and posters to the local residents. We will
distribute the Alternative Proposed Plans for a Belmont Art Park. We will also collect petition signatures.

entrance is on Los Angeles St. Street parking is very difficult in this area, arrive early.)

This may be your only opportunity to Speak Out against the plan to
build 276 apartments on the site. Show support for the preservation of the historic elements of this site,
and support the concept of an urban Belmont Art Park. If you cannot attend this meeting, you can write a
letter protesting the current development plans for this site.

the current development for the site located at 1304 W. 2nd Street (Belmont or Toluca Yard) Submit letters
from residents, business owners, public officials, professors and artists.

The developer is proposing several variances that people in the
community should protest against.

To register your complaint against the current project you can call
Los Angeles City Councilmember Ed Reyesâ€™ office at (213) 485-3451. You
can leave a message related to the project with any staff person, or you may ask to speak to Susan Wong
or to Guadalupe Duran-Medina.

You have the power to stop this project. Without community approval
this project cannot be built. We propose that this area be turned into a
Public Art Park, and a Historic Site, due to the Historic Subway Tunnel and Toluca Train Yard.
