Freight Graffiti Rummaging through some old negatives.... Budweiser yard 1990... when it was
what it was... I believe this is the first piece I ever did... Shot brought me to this
yard and helped out a lot on this actually. The names on the train were
very few back then. couple pieces... Frame had a Raul loves Patty and I saw a
few trains by the original Bombs Away crew... NAT JET WARP and
BOLD.... they were all regulars at the time with SHOT as the most experienced
writer.
Nobody tagged up the trains back then.... In fact it was rare to even see
another hit. You could walk the whole yard and see 1 or twobombed freights. But
all of them had Waterbed Lou freight chalk tags. from the 70's 60's and 80's...
He'd hit the same spot and just put a new date and it would be a trip cause
sometimes the dates would be 10 years apart....... I used to go to the budweiser
yard to practice my pieceing skills. I went alone most of the time on the
weekends because saturday nights there was little motion in the yard.
