In 1531 the Virgin of Guadalupe, a mixture of the
Virgin Mary and the Aztec goddess Coatlicue, appeared to the peasant
Indian Juan Diego. In his native language she promised to protect his
people. Declared the patron saint of Mexico, of the Revolution, of
Chicanos everywhere, Guadalupe continues to be a symbol of hope
and rebellion.

A native of Barcelona, Jordi Mollá is one of Spain's most recognized and
versatile artistic talents. In addition to his celebrated acting career, Mollá is
also an accomplished director, painter and writer.
Molla is a self-trained painter, for whom painting is an act of spontaneity. His
work often surprises the viewer both with his ability to manage the media and
with his power to express himself on canvas or paper. Currently, his
