BUA Limited Edition PF Flyers Dropping May 27th/28th in LA

The BUA limited edition shoe line designed by artist BUA for PF Flyers, a division of New Balance, will be launched in Los Angeles on May 27th and 28th. BUA will be signing a limited number of shoes on May 27th at SportieLA, located at 7753 Melrose between 8pm and midnight and on May 28th at Conveyor @ Fred Segal in Santa Monica between 4pm and 7pm.

PF Flyers announced in January 2004 an exclusive design partnership with visionary street artist, Justin BUA. BUAâ€™s designs were applied to an original PF Flyers shoe, the Grounder Reissue. The three limited edition styles of PF Flyers by BUA include 'The Baller', ' D.J.' and 'The Boombox'.

PF Flyers by BUA were unveiled at gallery events worldwide, from New York City to London, Paris, Tokyo and Los Angeles in late January and February of this year. The shoes will be sold in select retailers across North America, Europe and Asia. Only 1,008 pairs of each style will be available.

For the last ten years, BUA has been making a mark in the art world with his combinations of graffiti-esque style, distorted realism and urban themes. Born in New York City, BUA was fascinated by the raw, visceral Manhattan street life. BUA attended the High School of Music and Performing Arts (â€œFameâ€) and complemented his education on the streets by writing graffiti and performing worldwide with breakdancing crews such as The New York Express and The Dynamic Breakers. BUA went on to the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA where he earned a B.F.A. in Illustration. In addition to his studio art BUA currently teaches at the University of Southern California.
