On Saturday May 6th, 2006, UCLA’s Teacher Education Program (TEP) is partnering with over 450 educators, community leaders, youth, and community organizations, to host a conference entitled, “This Generation and Education Called Hip Hop: Culture As Curriculum.â€
This momentous event aims to create bridges within and across school districts, community organizations, students, and educators, by focusing on how schools can integrate Hip Hop culture into the curriculum, as a means of creating a socially and culturally relevant education that encourages students to strive for academic achievement and learning. TEP, in collaboration with Th!nk.ink clothing, is proud to present the official T-shirt design for “This Generation and Education Called Hip Hop†(designed by our talented Jaime Vasquez). We are currently taking preorders and payments for T-shirts. All proceeds will go towards supporting the education conference and TEP – a great design for a great cause.
Even if you can't make it out, you can still show your support by purchasing a shirt! Shirt sizes include: S, M, L, and XL. $10 for T-shirts; $12 for ladies’ fitted tee. Please make checks payable to: Think Inkorporated.
