Hailing from the streets of the Midwest, the Blue Panther is a renaissance pimpsta currently living in Los Angeles. She is an artist of all creative trades and her name can be found credited as artiste, music remixer, clothing designer, producer, writer, and film director. Her real artist name is Blue Panther and is often credited in publications and on the walls as '''Blupantha'' or simply, “BlueOneâ€.
The product of a strict Egyptian upbringing, Blu Pantha found solace in scribbling and painting almost anything and everything in sight. When she found herself repeatedly thrown into suspension and in and out of juvenile court, she made a deal with the judge that she would drop her markers to pursue creativity in other avenues. So she confined herself within the realms of her basement and busted out beats like a mad magician- for both film and television audiences.
She has since developed a rich underground presence as a “Stylizer†and beat wizard and has conducted remixes for major artists such as the Beatsie Boys and Lenny Kravitz. She is now directing music videos, a street art documentary, and has a major feature film planned for production in 07. But the Blu Pantha never dropped her markers when traveling outside the US, for her tag can be seen on tombs and walls all throughout the Nile for miles and miles.
